Cricket is the most popular darts game in the US: no countdown, you close numbers instead. Strategic from the very first turn.
Only 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15 and the bull count. Every other number on the board is worth nothing in Cricket.
Every dart that lands on a valid number adds one mark. It takes 3 marks to "close" a number — a triple closes it in one throw, a double counts as 2 marks, a single as 1.
Once you've closed a number and your opponent hasn't, every extra mark you land on it scores you points equal to its face value. First to close all 7 numbers with an equal or higher score wins.
To keep casual nights simple, FreeDarts' score sheet offers a sequential version: numbers close in a fixed order — 20 → 19 → 18 → 17 → 16 → 15 → bull — with no points to track. First to close them all wins. Great for learning the game or playing fast.
The player screen shows both opponents' ladders live, with the classic marks (slash, X, circled X).
